Challenge
Inspections meant on-site photos and paper checklists, then post-visit Word/Excel write-ups for delivery—90 minutes of admin per visit and major month-end overtime.
Approach
Reworked the flow so "inspect → photo → checklist → report preview" all complete on-site; PDF reports auto-generate as the technician leaves.
Implementation
Server-side PDF generation (Puppeteer) with templates per inspection type. On-site photos are auto-compressed with EXIF timestamps preserved. Signature tablet integration captures customer sign-off in the field.
Results
Per-visit report time dropped from 90 to under 10 minutes. Same-day customer delivery became standard. Per-tech monthly overtime fell ~25 hours. Reports also gained consistent formatting and quality.
